In this context, OBREAL has organised activities particularly focused on two themes: firstly, the impact of drug traffic on democracy and on the protection of human rights; secondly, the influence of advocacy actions of human right movements on public policy. Moreover, the subject of security, mainly in terms of international cooperation and in its relation to democracy and human rights, has also been analyzed from a broad perspective. This included alternative approaches to conflict resolution with particular emphasis on Latin America.
