Global Governance and Multiregionalism
OBREAL’s vision is that both regions can play an influential role in various multilateral institutions relating to economic, social, political and security areas.
The goal of the area is to carry out activities and studies addressing various aspects of global governance, the evolution of concepts related to regionalism and multilateralism, the key issues of the international agenda of both regions and the emergence of new regional initiatives such as the Union of South American Nations.
Based on these priorities, and focusing on the so-called ‘global political dialogue’, there has been an assessment of common interests, on-going cooperation and potential areas of convergence between both regions in the context of the United Nations Organization, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
